Now you might be wondering, what is this bonus activity about?

Well, I have to talk about a charity.

Sadly it can't be anyone you want, but happily there is one thing on the list that I like.

Here is the list of charities we can choose from:

Auckland City Mission,

Air Rescue,

OXFAM,

and the SPCA!

Of course I picked the SPCA.
Now, you probably don't know what the SPCA is but they are literally my heroes.
They are an animal shelter and they even have a vet in their centre.
There have been so many sad animal stories but the SPCA has made every one of them have a happy ending like a fairy tale.
Without them, hundreds, if not thousands of animals could still be shivering on the streets or even dead.

So we have to pretend we are going to go on a boat ride or voyage or something to maybe... I don't know... Japan?

But of course you have to bring things like, let's say blankets, jerseys, and you will probably need food.

But what kind of food should I bring?

Well, I came up with an entire list of food you could bring, so if you are going on a voyage or boat trip this might give you some ideas!

So this week we've been learning about careers.

On Tuesday, which was yesterday, Olivia B and I learnt about being an actress.

Actress means female actor pretty much.

What was easy when I was learning about being an actress was finding out new things about them.

What was hard when I was learning about actresses was figuring out the amount of money they got.

What was easy when I was doing this blog was copying in the slides.

A Number Word Search?

Against The Odds Finished Work!

Today I'm showing you my finished novel study work.
It took a lot of time and work but I finally completed it, and a day in advance.
We had to have it completed by friday, which is tomorrow.
I did a diorama of the most important scene in the book for my creative work.
What was easy while doing the diorama was making the characters.
What was more difficult was doing the curtain.

Bridge To Terabithia!

Kia ora!
Today I'm showing you part of my Bridge To Terabithia work.

Bridge To Terabithia is a book and movie, and we are watching the movie, bit by bit.

A while ago, we'd seen the footprint and wondered what created it.

We weren't quite sure and used our imagination to create what we thought made the footprint.

Everybody made completely different things, but this is what Olivia B and I made.

Don't judge, we only had like 20 minutes to make it.

What was easy while making the slide was inserting the creature's image and doing the font.

What was hard was making the tree, it took a lot of work to do.

Pet Day Creations!

Kia ora!

Today I'm talking to you about our pet day creations.

It's about expectations vs reality and how mine looked.

What was easy was doing the eyes and nose on the fox sculpture.

What was hard was making sure the ears wouldn't fall off because they were made of tomato pieces.

We had a lot of fun in Rimu!

Some people made veggie sculptures and some people made sand saucers.

What I could of worked on were the paws because the fox didn't really have any paws.
It doesn't look too good because we didn't have much time but I still think it looks average.

Panto Pandemonium!

This is my newest blog post featuring... the new school play!

Its called panto pandemonium, and it's about a magical land called panto land.

What was difficult about this blog post was doing the names of the characters because it was hard to remember them all.

What was easy about this blog post was making the backgrounds.

I even auditioned for a part in the play, I want to do it that much.

Well I'm already doing a play at drama class so I might as well.

Maori Directions Animation!

Today I'm showing you about maori directions.

So my kitty friend Intrapta is going to be helping you start to learn them too.

What was easy when I was learning about these words was the main words.
What was hard was the extra words that sometimes go with them like with turning and things.

What was easy when I was making this blog post was getting the cat because it was already pre-made. (By me).

What was hard when I was making this blog post was remembering the words, so I had to get the sheet to help me do it.

Now these are just the basics of the maori directions, so don't get too caught up about it.

But I'm sure if you'd like to learn more I can make another blog post about it, just tell me in the comments!

Amelia's Wild Side!

Yesterday I made a new blog called Amelia's Wild Side.

I Sung At The Music Festival!

Kia ora!

Today I'm talking about what my experience of the music festival was like.

I don't know how many people were watching but I saw my mum somewhere in the audience.

My next steps are to probably put more of what my feelings are in the writing of my experience.

What was easy was making the backgrounds.

What was difficult was making sure all the bars went up and down at the right time.

This was a really inspiring experience so you should be in the quire at your school if there is one!

Don't be nervous though, it's really fun.

Wild Eyes!

Today I'm telling you about some of my wild eyes work.

I know, you probably think I'm crazy but seriously, that's what we are doing.
Wild eyes is science work and its this really cool website.
You can get points for uploading completed missions and you get new wild eyes on your avatar thing.

What was easy was picking the beautiful backgrounds and font.

Digging the footprint was definitely the hardest thing.

I really like the blue and pink backgrounds.

My next steps are to maybe to find a new website to do a blog on.

What I might do differently next time is to do my blog about something else and maybe use different colours.

Ride Like A Girl!

Today for home learning I'm excited to share with you, my blog about the movie Ride Like A Girl.

It was a really good movie and I watched it a few days ago.

It's about a girl who wants to win the Melbourne cup but only boys have won it and no girl has ever come close.

Anyways, what was hard was making the movie theater.

What was easy was doing the title page.

What was fun was all of it!

This Is Not About Halloween...

Today I'm excited to be sharing my latest blog post with you.

If you know, just yesterday was halloween.

We still had to go to school but we had an awful lot of fun in mufti!

What I found challenging was making the bat, spider, and web.
What was fun was creating my character of what I looked like yesterday.
My next steps are to probably write more, but I don't have that much time.
What I might do differently next time is I might do a blog post that doesn't involve Olivia.

How To Chunk & Grid!

Today I'm showing you my maths work.

It's the chunking method which you use for division problems and the grid method which you use for  multiplication or times tables.

What was hard was learning them first off like ages ago I had to do that.

The hardest one to learn is probably the chunking method because it takes longer to do.

The most fun part was making the backgrounds and decorations.

My Future House! (Homelearning)

Today I designed my future house.

I think it looks amazing and it didn't take too long to make.

What was easy was having the design in my head, like thinking of it.

What was hard was actually making it.

I was going to do something completely different at first though but it didn't work.

So then I did this design.

Speed Dating... Book Edition!

Kia ora! 🦊

Today we did something even I agree was a little odd.

But eventually I found my one true love!

Its a book, yes, but everyone has a book for their true love apparently. Some people didn't get the books they wanted but I did.

Mine is called 'Against The Odds' and it's pretty interesting.

Its about a child whose dad is a doctor and travels away to heal war people.

The child's name is Kiki and Kiki always thinks he won't come back and will get killed.

But one day it happens.

I've only read like 16 pages but its all on the blurb, that little part on the back of a book.

New School Uniform! - Homelearning

Kia ora!

Today I'm doing my homelearning which is this activity.

So I have to design a new school uniform then show a diagram of the finished product.

Then explain the process that I went through.
So here is what I designed, its similar to my cafe uniform.


What was hard was making the logo of the dragon and coming up with the design.
What I found easy was doing the writing and also the headband was easy.
I'm pretty happy with what it turned out to look like, it was fun and easy to do this activity.
The activity I'm doing next week for home learning is designing my future house.
(I'll probably add my future car too).
