3 Superpowers! Week 1, Day 3, Activity 1

Kia ora everyone!
It's me, Amelia, here again to tell you the three superpowers I want and why for the summer learning journey.
You might be wondering, what is the summer learning journey, well you are about to find out!
Well first let me explain something called 'the summer slide'.
So in the holidays, we chill out a lot and get relief that school is finished, but we don't really do much learning at home.
Our learning skills go down and once we are back at school we are stuck with a lot of things and have to catch up.
So the summer learning journey prevents that from happening!
What's better?
You can win prizes that are sometimes worth hundreds of dollars, so it's all completely worth it.
So thats what it is!
Now time for the superpowers I would want and why.

Bye everyone, have a great day!

  1. Hello Amelia, its me Parwin! I see you are also doing the SLJ, the challenge is on!

I really liked your presentation that you made because everything was easy to read and you also included a lot of information in your blog post and presentation!

This reminds me of when I did this and my powers were very different from yours, you should check mine out! Actually, they are very different from each other!

I think that you did an awesome job and I can't think of something for you to improve on at the moment but if you have something in mind that would make your blog post even better, then go for it!

    Awesome job!

Looking forward to your next posts,
    Parwin

    1. Hi Parwin!

Thank you a lot for commenting.

I checked your blog and your superpowers really are different to mine, I'm surprised no one has put flying on theirs yet!
I do think healing may be quite a popular one though, and I did consider being able to be in people's dreams, because that would be cool.

      Thanks again Parwin.

      Bye!

  2. Tena koe Amelia,

Well done on completing another Summer Learning Journey blog post. You are doing great.

I love how you have really used your imagination in deciding what super powers you would like as well as giving us a little explanation as to why you would like each superpower.

Having the ability would heal would be a really amazing one. Nurses and doctors kind of have that ability don't they? Have you ever thought about being a nurse or a doctor when you grow up? Then it would be like you kind of have a superpower!

Until next time, happy blogging :)

  3. Hi Amelia, Its Abby from school. WOW! I didn't even think about healing when I did mine.

I like the way that you have a little explanation about each power and how it could help.

For my superpowers I chose Invisibility to be a Spy, Teleporting and surprisingly also telekenkines. I didn't think about healing even though I do want to be a vet when I'm older.

Next time you could explain why you want telekenkines, it could be because your lazy or so you can multitask or even so you can be a real superhero.

What do you want to do when you grow up?

    Kind regards,
    Abby.

  6. Hi Amelia! It's Mia here from Yaldhurst. Awesome work! I really liked the way that your presentation was creative and you added in reasons why you would want that power.

I had Healing as one of my powers, I would use it to heal cuts and scrapes, I think it would be also useful to use it on injured people that need to still play in a game. What kind of powers do you think you can have?

To improve, maybe you could explain, who or what you would use some of these powers for.

    Great work!
    Mia
