National Treasure! Week 1, Day 5, Activity 1

Kia ora everyone!
It's me, Amelia, and I've just done the next activity for the summer learning journey.
You might be wondering, what is the summer learning journey, well you are about to find out!
Well first let me explain something called 'the summer slide'.
So in the holidays, we chill out a lot and get relief that school is finished, but we don't really do much learning at home.
Our learning skills go down and once we are back at school we are stuck with a lot of things and have to catch up.
So the summer learning journey prevents that from happening!
What's better?
You can win prizes that are sometimes worth hundreds of dollars, so it's all completely worth it.
So thats what it is!
Now, what things are special to you?
What things do you treasure?
Anyways, here are mine, even though two of them are strange.
I don't really have pianos and stuff like that.

Bye everyone!
Hope you enjoyed, and have a great day!

  1. Hello Amelia, its me Parwin! I see you are also doing the SLJ, the challenge is on!

I really liked your background as it was really creative how you make like a buried treasure kind of thing in the back and you also included a lot of info like why they are special to you in your google slides. You also did a great job with your blog post because you explained what the Summer Learning Journey was and what you were doing.

This reminds me of the things that are special to me and if I had to pick 3, I would pick my family, my friends and I'm not sure what the 3rd one would be but I would say pets but I don't have any pets.

I think that you did an awesome job and at the moment, I can't think of something for you to improve on but if you have something in my mind that would make your blog post better, then go for it!

    Awesome work!

Looking forward to your next posts,
    Parwin

    1. Hi Parwin!

      Thanks for commenting.
I'm not really sure what I could do to improve, but I'll try to make my future blog posts even better!
I feel like I could've been more specific, but even I think it's really good the way it is.
Next time can you add a question?
Because I don't really have much to answer here.

      Alright, cya later Parwin!

  2. Hi Amelia, It's your friend Abby here. I really like your treasure box, it looks amazing.

I like the amount of description that you added about each thing. Would you consider memories to be treasures?

Well since you have 7 pets I would like to challenge you, I have 3 cats, 5 dogs, 1 lamb that we consider a pet and lots of sheep. So in total I have 9 pets. But not all in the same house. That would be crazy.

Next time you could explain why you don't treasure your family, well it just proves that people like animals more than their family.

    What pet is your favourite?

    Kind regards,
    Abby.

  4. Kia ora Amelia,

Great work on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity - keep up the good work. Don’t forget to comment back to blog commenters as well as on others SLJ blog posts to gain extra points.

I really like the poster you have presented your answers on, it makes your post really stand out so well done.
Pets are awesome aren't they?! Have have a cat and just recently got a puppy called Sam. He is very mischievous. Are any of your pets a bit mischievous?
Friends is another great thing to appreciate and treasure as they play such a big part of your life along with your whānau. Are you excited about seeing your friends when you go back to school?

Until next time, happy blogging :)
    Emma
