The Dangerous Gift - Lockdown

 Hi everyone!
Today I'm going to be writing about a book from the Wings Of Fire series.
The book is called The Dangerous Gift and is by Tui Sutherland.
I have read the whole Wings Of Fire series and it is really good.

You're probably wondering why I decided to write this blog.
Well the reason is that we're in lockdown and it is one of the activities that the teacher set.

Time for some astonishing, awesome and astounding information!

-SPOILER ALERT-

I think this book is for ages 9-12.
This book is a fantasy book so it would be good for people who like fantasy things or just dragons.

I started reading this series almost a year ago and I still like it.
My favourite book from the series is probably book 12 - The Hive Queen.
I like it because it has a lot of character development.

I chose to do my blog about this book because its a new one and I've read it recently.

What is your favourite book or series?

Have you read a Wings Of Fire book?
Do you like fantasy books?

How is lockdown for you?

Cya later, have a nice day!

🔥 Lost In The Nether 🔥

 Hello Bloggers!

Today I'm going to be talking about the book 'Lost In The Nether'.
It's a book that is set in the world of Minecraftia (or Minecraft).
It's also about a kitten.
Here is some information about the book...

When kitten Eeebs develops supernatural powers, he ends up destined to save his homeland, the Overworld from an evil enderman (Enderstar) and his army...

I know it's short, but it's effective (well I think so anyways).
Here is a link to the authors page.

This is the cover of the book.
I think it looks really cool and it's part of the reason I chose to read the book in the first place.

I think this book would be good for ages 8-12 because it's pretty easy to read, but there are a lot of words, and some big words.

This book would be good for people who like Minecraft and people who like books about Minecraft.

It could possibly also be good for people who like cats, but if you don't know much about Minecraft it would be harder to understand everything.
I think it's for a larger age range because its not for teenagers, but its not exactly childish either.

I liked this book because I like Minecraft and I also like cats.
I think it's a really cool book because it has heaps of different Minecraft mobs in it.

My favourite thing was that there are different supernatural characters.

Have you read a Minecraft themed book before?

Have you played Minecraft?

Do you like cats?

Cya later, have a nice day!

Term 2 Week 10 Reading DLO

Konnichiwa!

This week my reading group and I have been reading a text.

Here is the DLO I have made about this:

It wasn't very hard to do but with little time, I guess it was hard to get done on time.

Do you do these sorts of things?

Are they difficult for you?

Book Of The Week!

Konnichiwa!

This week I have a new book to show you.

It is so good, you should read it.

Wait... you don't know what book it is yet, do you?

Oh, well I'll tell you in this google drawing!

This book has 600 pages, that's a lot!

The writer must have put so much effort into this, its quality and quantity at the same time.

I would know, I'm reading this awesome book.

Oh, sheesh, look at the time, I really need to go.

Cya later, have a nice day, and keep on reading!

ABT, Hmmm, Abstract Blowfish Tapestry?

Konnichiwa!

Today I'm telling you about my ABT work, and no it does not stand for Abstract Blowfish Tapestry... I think.

It actually stands for anything but typical, which is the name of a book we've been reading in Rimu.

This little fox will show you what we've been doing and what we have been learning.

I have been doing work on anything but typical every week for the whole term.
The DLO didn't take too long and wasn't very hard to do.
I was only allowed two slides so I kinda struggled.

Do you read a book when you have morning tea?
Do you think my teachers should of let me have more slides?
Do you think I needed more time?

Cya later, have a nice day, and keep on reading!

I picked this book because I think that everyone has dreams and everyone can fulfill them.

Even though, her getting her dream-job is at the start, it is very important to me.

What is your favourite book?

Cya later, have a nice day, and keep on reading!

Against The Odds Finished Work!

Kia ora!
Today I'm showing you my finished novel study work.
It took a lot of time and work but I finally completed it, and a day in advance.
We had to have it completed by friday, which is tomorrow.
I did a diorama of the most important scene in the book for my creative work.
What was easy while doing the diorama was making the characters.
What was more difficult was doing the curtain.
I hope you enjoy the rest of my blog.
Here is the chapter work and the extra stuff.

Here is my finished diorama.

Bye!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post.

Please leave me feedback and have a great day!

It was fun doing the creative activities like the poster.

I didn't really like doing the vocab and questions but I had to do them anyways.

Have you read Holes?

WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW YOU ASK? -Amelia

For reading I have been doing novel study and here is one of the activities I did a few minutes ago:

#chooseyourownactivity #horsebookactivity #girlhorse

It was fun to do but it took a while. Its for the choose your own activity.

Now I'm doing my blog post for my second thing to do.

I'm sitting by my laughing friends, Shay, Bridget, Nikita, and Mia. They are really fun to hang out with.

Do you like my horse, I traced most of it but I did the eyes and lips myself. I also did different colors. Her name is Bella the horse. I hope you like her.
