Swim Like A Fish 🐟 Dive Like A Dolphin 🐬

Hello bloggers!
For the last two weeks we have had Swim Safe instructors come to our school pool to teach us about water safety.
We were split into three groups based on our swimming ability.
People practiced strokes such as backstroke, freestyle, rolling logs.
I also got to wear a lifejacket and I learnt how to huddle to stay warm.
On the last day we wore our pyjamas over top of our togs.
We also made a whirlpool and went around and around the pool (weeee!).
Another thing we learnt is how to take your pyjamas off while in the water.

Here is my DLO:

I enjoyed having Swim Safe come to teach us because I leant a lot and I had heaps of fun as well.
My next steps for swimming are to be able to hold my breath for longer and to not get so tired.
My favourite part of Swim Safe was when I got to practice my survival backstroke and dolphin dives.
(They are so fun!)
Next time I am excited for wearing life jackets because they were really fun to have on.

-Do you like swimming?
-Do you have a school pool?
-If you do, have you had Swim Safe teach you?
-If you don't, what is your favourite stroke? (Mine is freestyle.)

I hope you are enjoying your last year at Primary, it now gets more boring from here.

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you for commenting on my blog!
      I enjoyed reading your comment.
I'm not very excited for high school, I'm actually quite nervous.
I am enjoying my last year here at Yaldhurst, it's going great so far!
Don't worry, of course I miss you all!

Max is a year 8 now.
      He must be really smart!
      A few things have changed.
We have gone swimming a few times and we also play water polo sometimes.
We still get our own workspaces though.

What have you been up to?
Have you seen any of the other YMS graduates?

      Sincerely,
      Amelia.
